Children's Parties
Here at Wodson Park we know how much hard work it can be organising a children’s party!
So our aim is to take away some of that stress for you.
We offer a range of hassle-free parties to suit all age groups.
We will set up everything up for you and perhaps more importantly, we will also clean up the mess afterwards!
Party Times
Children’s Parties can be held at Wodson Park on :
~ Friday afternoons,
~ Saturdays,
~ Sundays and
~ at certain times during the school holidays,
depending upon the availability of space and other pre-booked events.
All of our 'party booking' periods allow a short period (usually 15 minutes) at the start and end of the ‘Party’ so that you can set up and clear away your personal touches to your party.

Bouncy Castle Parties – for children under the age of 7 years
Setting up personal special effects = 15 minutes
Party = 2 hours
Clearing away presents/personal effects = 15 minutes
Total time for
Bouncy Castle Party Booking = 2½ hours
Situated in our child-friendly Small Hall, our Bouncy Castle can be booked for a party with a maximum of 20 children under the age of 7 years.
We recommend that no more than 10 children are allowed to play on the Bouncy Castle at any one time.
Party = 2 hours
Clearing away presents/personal effects = 15 minutes
Total time for
Bouncy Castle Party Booking = 2½ hours
Situated in our child-friendly Small Hall, our Bouncy Castle can be booked for a party with a maximum of 20 children under the age of 7 years.
We recommend that no more than 10 children are allowed to play on the Bouncy Castle at any one time.
Ball Pond
For an additional small charge, we can also provide a Ball Pond.
For health and safety reasons, our Bouncy Castle and Ball Pond can only to be used by children under the age of 7 years.
Please note:
Wodson Park does not provide any supervision for the Bouncy Castle or the Ball Pond.
Soft Play Parties – for children under the age of 3 years
Setting up personal special effects = 15 minutes
Party = 1½ hours
Clearing away presents/personal effects = 15 minutes
Total time for
Soft Play Party Booking = 2 hours
Soft Play Parties can be booked in either our Small Hall or our North Hall depending upon space availability.
Wodson Park will provide a selection of soft play equipment.
Please note:
Wodson Park does not provide any supervision for Soft Play parties.
Football and Multi-Sports Parties
Setting up personal special effects = 15 minutes
Party = 2 hours
Clearing away presents/personal effects = 15 minutes
Total time for Football & Multi-Sports Party Booking = 2½ hours
Based in our North Hall, we will provide you with all the sports equipment you need to run your party.
We can also help you to find a Sports Coach for your party.
Contact details of local Sports Coaches who have previously assisted at parties held at Wodson Park may be obtained from Wodson Park Reception.
Please note:
Wodson Park does not provide any supervision or Coaches for Football and Multi-Sports parties.
Disco and Entertainer Parties
Setting up personal special effects = 15 minutes
Party = 2 hours
Clearing away presents/personal effects = 15 minutes
Total time for
Disco and Entertainer Party Booking =2½ hours
We can provide one of our Wadesmill Suite’s rooms for you to hold a party with a disco or a children’s entertainer. We will always try to accommodate your party on the Dance Floor, but if other events have already booked that area, we will accommodate your party in the Trackside Room.
We can also help you to find a children’s entertainer or a disco for your party.
Contact details of local children’s entertainers and disco’s who have previously assisted at parties held at Wodson Park may be obtained from Wodson Park Reception.

We can supply details of local companies who provide Buggy and Go-Cart parties.

Helping you plan your Children's Party
Wodson Park's Children's Party Boxes
If you want one less thing to worry about, then why not let Wodson Park look after the catering for your children's party?
We can provide children’s party boxes for £3.70p per head.
Our party boxes contain sandwiches, a piece of fruit, a chocolate biscuit or cake bar, a bag of crisps and a carton of drink.
We are very experienced in dealing with special dietary requirements and can adapt our party boxes to suit your specific dietary needs.

Your Own Party Food
If you would prefer to provide your own party food that is also acceptable.
However, for your own food hygiene safety, you must ensure that any food brought onto our premises is stored appropriately.
Please note:
For food hygiene and health and safety reasons, access to our kitchens and refrigeration facilities is restricted to appropriately qualified Wodson Park staff only.
People/Groups that provide their own food for parties held at Wodson Park are
not allowed to access, or to use Wodson Park’s kitchens or refrigeration facilities
at any time.
The use of professional external catering companies for parties held at Wodson Park is not permitted.
If you provide your own party food, please also plan/arrange to bring all your necessary catering equipment with you too. We are unable to provide plates, cutlery, cups, glasses, jugs, cake knife, etc for parties.
Party Soft Drinks
You can bring your own soft drinks for your children's party.
Alternatively, we can provide jugs of squash for £1.25p
(a jug will usually provide 10 servings).
Please note:
You may not bring or use your own kettle, or your own coffee making equipment in any part of Wodson Park, including our Sports Halls and The Wadesmill Suite.
Alcoholic Drinks
Wodson Park is a licensed establishment.
Therefore, we are unable to allow Party organisers and/or their guests to bring any alcohol onto our premises.
If you would like one of our bars to be open for your Children's Party, please inform Wodson Park Reception when booking your party.
Booking your Children’s Party - at a glance
Once you have decided what sort of Children’s Party you would like, please call Wodson Park Reception to check our room/sports hall availability.
To qualify for the discounted ‘Members Price’ (see current price list below), the Wodson Park Member must be either the child who is hosting the party or their parent/legal guardian.
~ Provisional Children’s Party bookings will only be held for 7 days.
~ A non-refundable deposit of £25 must be paid within 7 days of your initial
reservation to secure your Children’s Party booking.
~ The balance of your Children’s Party booking fees must be paid by no later than
7 days prior to the date of your party.
You can provisionally book and pay for your Children’s Party booking by telephone or in person.
But you will need to complete a Booking Form, and confirm that you have read and accept our Terms & Conditions of Booking, (these are available from Wodson Park Reception or see copy below) before we can confirm your Children's Party booking.
Wodson Park accepts Children’s Party booking payments in cash, by cheque or by debit/credit card.
